These gifts will make their life easier and more enjoyable for a long time to come.

Fighting Over the TV Volume? Get a Streamer

Watching TV is difficult when you have a hearing loss. Not with the ReSound TV Streamer 2. This nifty gadget transforms hearing aids into wireless headphones for TV, computers, and stereos. The ReSound TV Streamer 2 lets your loved one set their own volume in their hearing aids separately from the volume you hear in the room. Yes, that means you’ll both be able to enjoy movies, TV shows, radio shows, and your favorite music together again.

Upgrade their Hearing Aid

Does your loved one have an old-style hearing aid? Modern hearing aids like the LiNX Quattro could revolutionize their hearing experience.  This unrivaled device boasts every type of streaming imaginable, brilliant sound quality, and the benefit of personalization and support from ReSound Assist. It’s the world’s most advanced, rechargeable hearing aid, and your loved one deserves the best.

Have Trouble with Phone Calls? Try a Caption Phone

Caption phones convert what the person on the other end of the phone says into text that appears almost instantly on the caption phone’s display. They’re usually free. Simply sign up to apply for one.

They Don’t Hear their Morning Alarm? Try a SmartShaker

The SmartShaker is a small vibrating pad that slips under your loved one’s pillow. Hook it up to a smartphone, and it’ll gently shake them awake when their smartphone alarm rings.

Tinnitus Trouble? The ReSound Relief App Saves the Day

If your loved one is exhausted and stressed out by the constant din of tinnitus, the ReSound Relief app will help them to get the sleep, concentration, and hearing clarity they’ve been missing. It masks any kind of tinnitus. Get the easy-to-use app on their smartphone or tablet, and your loved one can use it with any headphones or Bluetooth enabled hearing aids.

Do you know somebody that needs to see this? Why not share it?

Sarah Post, Au.D., CCC-A

As a child of deaf adults (CODA) in the Knoxville Deaf Community, she understands the struggles like no other. This sparked her passion for audiology as a career and led her to pursue a bachelor’s degree in audiology from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. After completing her degree, she continued her education at Auburn University, where she completed her doctorate of audiology (Au.D.) before returning to Knoxville to serve the local community. As a clinical audiologist at Physicians Hearing Care, Sarah provides comprehensive diagnostic services to assess patients’ hearing needs. Often requiring the assistance of amplification devices, Sarah helps patients select and tailor instruments to their specific hearing loss and needs that can improve their quality of life. With each patient, she listens and discusses their needs to develop a plan to improve their communication and quality of life. So far, there have been many life-changing moments during her time at PHC. Most of all, Sarah loves working with people to form a partnership to understand their needs, build trust, and craft customized plans to improve their hearing health.
