During the month of November, we invited our community to nominate somebody special that they believe deserved to win free premium hearing aids as part of our 2019 “Hear for the Holidays” giveaway.
This unique competition is our way of giving back to our community and ensuring that nobody needlessly endures the holidays feeling isolated because of hearing loss.
We had over 143 incredible nominations.
It was a difficult process to select the winner, and many of the heartfelt entries had our team in tears as we read the hardships and stories of people within our community that were missing special moments because of hearing loss.
But after much consideration, we decided upon a winner.
With an amazing 11 separate people nominating her, we’re proud to announce that Cassandra M. is our 2019 winner.
As a much-loved local pre-school teacher, she was missing out on conversations with the kids and with her co-workers.
Two separate co-workers, in particular, stood out for saying:
“She is so caring and she cares about everyone who crosses her path. She deserves the gift of hearing more than anyone I know,” and “I can think of no one more deserving than Cassie for this opportunity because I know how badly she wants to be sure that she never misses out on a conversation or opportunity to help our children learn!”
We’re delighted to choose Cassandra as our winner and we know that her new hearing aids won’t just change her life, but they will also make a huge difference to the lives of the children she educates and cares for.
On December 19, we invited Cassandra to have her hearing comprehensively tested and to fit her with premium hearing technology.
Here is a video of her sharing her experience:
Once again, we would like to thank our amazing community for nominating so many incredible people.
It breaks our hearts that we cannot help all of them.
With another successful year helping a deserving winner, we’re all set to run the “Hear for the Holidays” giveaway again in November 2020.
The Countdown to our 2020 Nominations is Now Open
