To connect or reconnect your hearing aids to your iPhone, do the following:

  1. Go to Settings.
  2. Turn on Bluetooth.
  3. Press Accessibility.
  4. Press Hearing Devices.
  5. If connecting for the first time, skip to step 7.
  6. If reconnecting, press YOUR NAME’s HEARING AIDS.
  7. Scroll down, and press Forget Device.
  8. Turn off your hearing aid(s).
  9. Battery: Open the battery door and remove the battery.
  10. Rechargeable: Put the hearing aid in the charger.
  11. Turn on your hearing aid(s).
  12. Battery: Insert the battery and close the battery door.
  13. Rechargeable: Take the hearing aid out of the charger.
  14. Wait for YOUR NAME’S HEARING AIDS to pop up.
  15. Then press “triple-click the Home Button at any time to show hearing device options” when prompted.
  16. Your phone will ask you to pair.
  17. If you have two hearing aids, press PAIR.
  18. If you have one hearing aid, press PAIR.

How to Troubleshoot Problems with Wireless Streaming/Phone Calls

Android
If using an android phone, do one of the following:

  • Restart your cell phone.
  • Delete and reinstall the application
  • Reconnect your hearing aids to the Smart 3D App

How to Restart Your Cell Phone

  1. Go to the ReSound Smart app and tap the MORE tab.
  2. Turn the Demo mode ON and then turn it OFF.
  3. The application will begin searching for the hearing aids.
  4. Restart your hearing aid(s).
  5. Battery: Remove the battery and reinsert it.
  6. Rechargeable: Remove the hearing aid from the charger and return it.
  7. Wait for pairing and press CONTINUE.

How to Reconnect Your Hearing Aids to the ReSound Smart 3D App

  1. Go to the Resound Smart 3D app.
  2. Tap the MORE tab.
  3. Press PAIR NEW HEARING AIDS
  4. Your phone will start searching for hearing aids.
  5. Restart your hearing aids:
  6. Battery: Remove the battery and reinsert it.
  7. Rechargeable: Remove the hearing aid from the charger and return it.
  8. Wait for pairing and press CONTINUE.

General Bluetooth/Wireless Tips

  • Ensure your ReSound Smart 3D app is updated.
  • Stop other running applications.
  • Refresh your Bluetooth by turning it on and then off.
  • Restart your cell phone weekly.

Troubleshooting Issues with the ReSound Smart 3D App

If experiencing problems with the application, do one of the following:

  • Close the app and reopen it.
  • Restart your cell phone.
  • Delete the Smart 3D app, download, and reinstall it.
  • Check whether you have Smart or Smart 3D
  • Turn DEMO MODE On and then turn it Off.
  • Go to the ReSound Smart 3D app and tap the MORE tab.
  • Turn DEMO MODE On and then turn it Off, and restart the devices.
  • Confirm whether Bluetooth is allowed on the Smart/Smart 3D app.
  • Go to settings and scroll down. Select Smart or Smart 3D.
  • Confirm whether Bluetooth is on.
